Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ New York AmeriCorps Members act as positive role models and near-peer mentors to elementary and middle school public school students. By partnering with NYC teachers, “Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµs” drive measurable gains in academic and social emotional performance through in-class intervention, as well as robust after school programs.
Ensuring more students are on track to high school graduation
Research shows that even academically prepared students are at risk of falling off track. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ supported students, ensuring that:
85% of students stayed on track in English Language Arts with a C or higher
87% of students stayed on track in mathematics with a C or higher
