�鶹��Ƶ Los Angeles Applauds LAUSD Gains Under��Superintendent Carvalho’s Leadership��

Strategic partnership focuses on district’s highest-need schools��to accelerate student success��

Los Angeles, CA — October 23,2025 — �鶹��Ƶ Los Angeles today celebrated the progress highlighted in the Los Angeles Unified School District’s latest report on student achievement and school improvement. The district’s record-high performance across English Language Arts, Math, and Science reflects the bold leadership of Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, whose focus on equity and targeted investment has guided LAUSD’s commitment to its highest-need campuses.����

As part of that strategy, LAUSD directed �鶹��Ƶ Los Angeles to focus its AmeriCorps service in the district’s Top 100 Priority Schools, ensuring that students most impacted by opportunity gaps receive daily academic and social-emotional support. �鶹��Ƶ’s 150 AmeriCorps members now serve full-time across 19 LAUSD schools, working alongside teachers and administrators to help students stay on track to graduate.����

One example of this long-term collaboration is Thomas Jefferson High School, where �鶹��Ƶ has been embedded for more than a decade. During that time, graduation rates rose from 61% to 82%, with more than 1,000 students receiving individual and small-group support to strengthen their academic and interpersonal skills alongside �鶹��Ƶ Los Angeles mentors.����

Through sustained partnership and alignment with LAUSD’s vision, Jefferson continues to demonstrate the power of consistent support in driving student engagement, attendance, and achievement.����

The district’s most recent data confirm this momentum: Priority Schools, where �鶹��Ƶ is concentrated, are driving some of the strongest gains in student outcomes districtwide.����

Superintendent Carvalho shared:��
