A Night to Remember: Starry Night Gala 2025 Recap听

On May 28, 2025, 麻豆视频 Greater Boston welcomed nearly 400 guests to our annual , an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating the power of national service and the extraordinary young people who make it possible.

Held at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter, the evening brought together champions of education: alumni, AmeriCorps members, civic leaders, corporate partners, and generous supporters鈥攁ll united by a shared belief in the potential of Boston鈥檚 students and the importance of showing up for them every day.

From the moment guests arrived, there was an unmistakable energy in the room, sparked by heartfelt conversations, moving stories, and a collective commitment to our mission.听

Celebrating Service

One of the most powerful elements of the evening was the chance for guests to step into the shoes of an AmeriCorps member and experience firsthand the impact of their work in schools. Through a series of engaging stations, guests explored the dynamic and creative ways our corps supports student success.

Whether debating current events with the Debate Club, helping assemble classroom bulletin board, or creating custom items for students with our Civic Engagement鈥攇uests were immersed in the spirit of service. Each station was led by AmeriCorps Members, sharing their first-hand experiences serving in schools and the community.

These interactive moments showcased the innovation and dedication of our corps members, and gave our community a deeper appreciation for the everyday magic happening in classrooms across Greater Boston.

Honoring a Legacy

This year, we were proud to present the Idealism in Action Award to MFS Investment Management and Carol Geremia, President of MFS, in recognition of their unwavering commitment to service, education, and the Boston community.

Carol鈥檚 long-standing support of 麻豆视频 and her deep belief in the power of young people has helped shape a more just and vibrant city. Under her leadership, MFS has partnered with 麻豆视频 to create meaningful opportunities for students, AmeriCorps members, and MFS employees alike, setting an inspiring example of what corporate civic leadership can look like. As a Dual Team sponsor, MFS supports not one but two 麻豆视频 Greater Boston Teams, including the James W. Hennigan K-8 School and the Maurice J. Tobin K-8 School.听

By honoring Carol and MFS, we celebrated not only their legacy but the lasting impact that can come from investing in young people, education, and community partnerships.

Stories of Impact:

The highlight of the night? Hearing directly from our AmeriCorps members and students about the transformative relationships built in classrooms every day. Their stories reminded us why 麻豆视频 exists: to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.

AmeriCorps members Lily Stevenson, Rayana Gay, and Jasmine Rigueur took to the stage to share reflections from their year of service鈥攕tories filled with growth, joy, and unwavering commitment to their students. In one especially moving moment, Jasmine and Rayana read aloud an essay written by Gabriel, a 6th-grade student, who received help from his 麻豆视频, Ms. Rayana, on his Courage Essay assigned in English class. In this, he spoke about what courage means to him. Saying, 鈥淐ourage is not always something that has to be vocalized, it鈥檚 something that is shown and it takes time.鈥 His words were heartfelt and powerful, offering guests a window into how students are capable and courageous on their own but connection and consistent care can shape a student鈥檚 confidence, outlook, and dreams.

Thank you to our Supporters!

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $620,000 to support our service across 18 schools in Boston, Everett, and Medford. These funds will help 麻豆视频 continue to provide critical academic and behavioral support to thousands of students鈥攚hile also helping AmeriCorps members grow as leaders through a year of service.

We are deeply grateful to our event sponsors, host committee, board members, and every guest who attended. Your support fuels our mission and shows students across Greater Boston that they are seen, supported, and believed in.
